With Apple Intelligence, the world of emojis is being reimagined – more personal and expressive than ever before. The new "Genmojis" open up exciting ways to add a unique touch to your messages and documents. Whether in iMessage, Pages, or other supported apps – wherever emojis are used, Genmojis can now be created directly from the emoji keyboard via a new button in the top-right corner.

Creating Genmojis is incredibly easy:
Access the new feature through the emoji keyboard in various Apple apps – look for the new icon in the top-right corner. You can either enter short prompts to describe the emoji you want, or use a photo of a person from your media library as inspiration. Even a simple word like "person" is enough to get started. You'll then be shown a range of AI-generated image suggestions to choose from and customize as your own emoji.

Once created, your Genmojis are automatically stored in the "Stickers" section of the emoji keyboard and are instantly available across all your Apple devices. Want to edit or delete one? Just tap and hold (on iPhone or iPad) or right-click / [ctrl]-click on a Mac – and you're good to go.

Create Genmojis on iPad – Here’s How

1. Open an app with a text field
Launch an app like Messages or Notes and tap into the text field to activate the keyboard.

2. Switch to the emoji keyboard
Tap the emoji icon or the globe button to open the emoji keyboard.

3. Access the Genmoji feature
In the emoji view, look for a new icon in the top-right corner – a smiley face with a plus sign. That’s your gateway to creating Genmojis.

4. Enter Your Idea
Describe the emoji you’d like to create – for example, “robot with sunglasses dancing.” You can also select a person from your photo library as a reference.

5. Generate Suggestions
Once you confirm your input, Apple Intelligence will automatically generate a variety of Genmoji options for you to choose from.

6. Save Your Favorite
Browse through the suggestions, pick your favorite, and add it to your emoji collection – ready to use in any message!

Of course, there are clear content guidelines: depictions of violence, sexual references, or protected trademarks – including Apple products – are off-limits.

If you're curious, give it a try! It’s not only fun but also a great way to add a personal touch to your digital conversations.
